Review on CarThree Single Android Navigation Bluetooth by Lawrence George

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent device, reviews of devices from the same company are good here on Revain

Contrary to the reviews (reviews of the other three devices are good) I like this device. It is simply connected, although I didn't have a transition pigtail and had to crimp the wires. I got the default color codes from google to help. This way you can be sure that you are connecting it correctly. I had a Sony and they matched. The "instructions" was a page showing the wiring. After installation the installation starts and after that there is an "instructions" file to see how everything works. It's very easy. Since I'm traveling in my van, I need offline navigation. Google is already on the internet, but I'm going where cellular coverage isn't always available. I downloaded IGO because my old Joyde in my RAV4 has it and I'm used to it. It's free, like dozens of others. BUT offline use requires you to purchase maps ($30, free upgrades). My old RAV4 Joying had it installed with maps, but it was a lot more than just this blocking and buying maps. I love it. The screen is HUGE, but it adjusts up and down at least an inch or so on each side to clear everything (no tilt). Four tiny screws behind the screen. When the device is adjusted all the way up or down to the limit the device sticks out 1/2 inch which may not matter and was perfect for my van as there were two dash buttons under the screen. The mounting part (where you moved the screws) is a thin bracket that can be cut out with a dremel in two seconds if you can even see the gap behind the screen. protrude without cutting. My van's dashboard has 5 million switches, so I had to move it all the way. You will not be disappointed! This is a great device.
