The packaging of these pads is top notch: each pad is individually wrapped in paper, new caliper clips, a packet of synthetic grease, etc. Looks like a "clean cut" both the pad and pad also the underride protection. However, both outer pads have thinner braking capabilities towards the inner edge, resulting in two dust streaks on the rotors (almost new, less than 100 miles). You can't tell by looking at the pads out of the box. However, after seeing the streaks of rust, I double-checked the setup, made sure everything was working properly, and as a final step, measured the pads with a micrometer and solved the mystery. The inner pads, the ones behind the rotor that you can't see through the installed wheel, are fine. The car stops seems fine as they are on the rear brakes. Since these are ceramic pads and do not wear out as quickly as traditional semi-metal pads, I may have to drive the car several thousand miles for the uneven pads to wear down due to the difference in thickness, removing the rusting tape on the rotors. Not recommended.
