Bosch BC1267 QuietCast Premium Ceramic Disc Brake Pads, Rear, For BMW 1 Series M, 128i, 323i, 328i, 328i xDrive, 328xi, X1 Review

I am very happy with these pads. I replaced the original pads on my daughter's 328i with these pads from Bosch. I used original Pagid pads on our other BMW but I was in dire need of pads so I went with these. They are inexpensive and run quietly provided the equipment is properly lubricated. The car displayed a warning that the brake pads were ready for replacement, so I installed them and reset the warning light. That's all it took.

As a BMW mechanic I change these brakes very often. I've noticed that poor quality is mostly similar to factory seal, or rather one of the main quality issues. The spring loaded clip that presses against the back of the inner pad on one of the pads I received was never crimped. the clip just falls off. This prevents the brake pad from moving away from the brake disc when the pedal is pressed. I am very disappointed in the lack of quality control. I should have just paid a little more and got…

The packaging of these pads is top notch: each pad is individually wrapped in paper, new caliper clips, a packet of synthetic grease, etc. Looks like a "clean cut" both the pad and pad also the underride protection. However, both outer pads have thinner braking capabilities towards the inner edge, resulting in two dust streaks on the rotors (almost new, less than 100 miles).
