Review on 13.3-inch Portable Fagomfer Extender - Enhance Laptop Experience by Mark Tatum

Steam Deck Dreams is the best in my opinion

I picked this up for a number of reasons other than catching it on sale. Firstly I don't plan to use it as a monitor extension that I will mount on my laptop, I mainly plan to use it as a portable monitor either by putting it on a stand or holding it like a tablet. .First of all I'm planning to use it with a Steam deck for playing while traveling or at a LAN party and I was hoping to have it on hand for my test - but it looks like my Steam deck will Deck will arrive in a couple of weeks and I will update my review of the video when I have it and feel comfortable. My photo shows it connected to our home theater via HDMI. Regardless of the use case. Luckily the manufacturers have thought about that and made the frame fairly versatile for a number of different uses, rather than just attaching it to a laptop to have an extra monitor. However, I wish it could be closed when used as a kind of "tablet". As you said, as you can see from other reviews there are different ways to connect to your device and some different cables depending on the device. The most ideal is everything via USB C. When it works, it's amazing. Display data, power, *pass-through charging* over a single cable. That being said, I believe the protocol is Display Port over USB-C. I was surprised to see that my ASUS Maximus XII Hero and Pixel 4XL don't support this feature. If your device doesn't support it, you'll have to use HDMI and an extra power cable from USB C or USB C to USB A. It's not the worst, but it's an extra cable and maybe a power adapter. This is of course not the fault of the manufacturer, but should be considered before purchasing depending on the application and type of hardware. Some other useful things to keep in mind is that the device has a lot more features than you might expect. this product in the device menu, including freesync for us gamers. Incredible! The carrying case is also a nice touch for the price.
