Review on 🐠 AQUATICLIFE 115 Nano Protein Skimmer & Filter Combo - Ideal for 30 Gallon Saltwater Aquariums & Small Nano Tanks by Jim Bodnarchek

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits Fluval Sea Evo 13.5 gallon tank Works great

Basically the same as the Fluval PS2 skimmer except for the foam padding on the outlet (to reduce micro-bubbles) and the location of the air hose connecting the pump and feeds the collection cup. An important factor is that it is available where Fluval is hard to find and the price is much lower! As I had a Fluval Sea 13.5g Evo that needed a skimmer I looked for the Fluval model and couldn't find one. Nobody had. Then I found this device here on Revain. Everything looked the same in the photo, except for the points mentioned above. The color was different, but it didn't affect the work. My main concern was would it fit in the compartment and would the gas cap fit? And so it happened. Fits exactly as it should. I should note however that the mount for this has suction cup posts which I cut to fit better as it was designed to be more versatile and will not fit directly onto this tank. It didn't matter much, just cut them off right away. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the amount of microbubbles it produces. I used a piece of filter pad in one of the water channels to soften them up a bit and a small pad on the outside. It helped a lot. In addition, it is a bit noisy due to the air intake. It is not a hose like the Fluval version so a silencer cannot be added. Again I modified it to use the hose from the powerhead, put the muffler on and it was fixed perfectly. It needs some small adjustments but for the price it's amazing! Without a doubt, this skimmer performs far better than any other skimmer in its price range. I have used one of the others from AE on my main nano tank and it was fine, this one is much better and great! It pulls a lot of scum out of the system and improves the overall health of my tank. worth your money. If you have a Fluval 13.5 Evo or a 20-30 gallon system with a pan-fit chamber or sump, then a skimmer is money well spent. Highly recommended
