These twelve Energizer D batteries are fine. Luckily I use them for light work in my electric kitchen bin as these batteries are significantly less powerful and last significantly less than standard D batteries. In addition, the batteries themselves were dented and dented with labels partially torn off, leading me to believe they were either improperly stored or haphazardly transported. I took a chance because the price was lower than other options, but all were canceled and then some because of their minimal lifespan and inferior performance. The item I use them in typically lasts about a year between four battery changes, and with these energizers I've changed batteries about twice as often in about six months. Also, it is not as powerful to open the dustbin lid as other batteries during operation.
