Leaked, ended up not needing it
The part seemed heavy and high quality but leaked/leaked immediately after installation no matter how tight I made the connection so sent it back. After I removed it and restored the water supply to my humidifier, the knocking never returned. I figured it was because I had the humidifier valve fully open this time. Previously, the valve must have been partially closed and responsible for all the noise.
