I used to have an Avantree bluetooth speaker but after about 6 months the internal battery completely died and couldn't hold a charge at all. Too bad it wasn't very expensive so I looked for a more expensive model and found the Clearon. I like the smaller profile and the quality of the design, but here are my two comments: The mount is only designed for mounting on a handlebar with the speaker rotated 90°, very chunky, clunky, looks bad and doesn't help the aerodynamics at all . I ended up using the built-in mount from an old Avantree speaker to attach a custom Clearon speaker cage to my bike's top tube. This way the speaker is parallel to the top tube and not rotated 90° while still being very accessible and able to be heard on a windy ride and also feels sleek. - The speaker's cones only point in one direction and the metal hooks are very poorly placed against each other, affecting the speaker's secure fit in the cage or the direction the sound is coming from. There is a small metal loop on the speaker for attaching a carabiner, but this small metal loop does not allow the speaker to sit evenly and securely in the cage. It must be turned so that the hook is pointing sideways or up. A BIG PROBLEM is that the speakers inside the Clearon case are oriented in the opposite direction of the hook metal loop, so the sound is directed either sideways or straight down, making listening to music very difficult. the speaker doesn't quite fit properly, but the sound is directed up to my ears and held in place with a velcro strap. If Clearon fixes these glaring issues and includes a top tube mount, it would be a 5 star purchase and a perfect choice for fast riders who don't want to sacrifice aero or style.
