Seriously, great buy! I don't understand why one buys a more expensive option. It was plug and play. No kidding, it took about 3 minutes to install on my F-150 XLT 2017 SCREW. Requires no dealer programming or forscan. It's just plug and play. The range exceeded all my expectations. The guys in my F-150 FB group said the only way to get good range be the purchase of an OEM remote start that comes with a separate key fob. Absolutely not true. I can launch my truck in about 100 yards. Maybe just less hair. While this remote start requires no dealer or forscan programming, I still used forscan to disable the beep. For those who don't know which horn I'm talking about, when you start your truck, press the lock button on the key three times. The truck beeps on the third click. It's ok, but I've decided to disable the use of Forscan. Speaking of air conditioning/heating. You have 2 options that you can set in the instrument cluster menu. You can either set it to Auto. This means that based on your truck's internal temperature, it does everything to bring it to 70 degrees. Or you can set it to "last setting". So if you get out of your truck the night before and put the air conditioning or heating on full blast. By default, it runs at full power when started remotely in the morning. It's the best value by far, not unlike the $200 12V brand. Hope this review helps!
