I bought these bulbs to replace bulbs on my pre-lit tree that had 600 standard bulbs. I removed all the existing bulbs and bought 2 strings of 200. The problem was the original bulbs were 8" apart and these are 4" so you need a double so I ordered 3x200 spikes. I drew the lamps and connected them to the branches using small couplers (1200). I had so many additions to the finished product. Please note that you can only connect 3 strands together, which means you must have 2 power cords. To sync the light, we turn it off with the control box button, place the control boxes side by side, and then use the remote control to set the color and/or pattern. Again the most beautiful tree we have ever had, it was up a week before we even put any decorations on it which is good.
