Review on 🔪 Wusthof In-Drawer Tray Knife Storage: 7-Slot, Natural Wood Organizer by Karen Smith

The idea of the product is brilliant, but the execution is not. You can't see it in any of the pictures due to the angles used, but the storage compartment has two pins perpendicular to the axis of the stored knives and carries most of the weight of the blade. The grip is somewhat supported by the grip area, but only on some knives. For example, the entire Calphalon line of katana has handles that end above the blade, so they won't lie flat in this tray unless a piece of cardboard is placed under the handle to support it and take some weight off the blade . They may have been made just for Wüsthof knives, but how many chefs only use one brand in their kitchen? I would not recommend this product unless you already know your knives are compatible and don't mind the pen dulling the edge due to the weight.
