Basically without going into my medical history, I have an abrasion on one eye and it sometimes re-injures itself. When he's injured I can't look at the lights (monitors), he's sore and watery, and I can't keep my eye closed with my good eye because *it* hurts more. The ideal solution would be to keep the eye open, but in the dark: an eye patch! I recently ordered this patch during an episode and it helped me get through the day as I could comfortably use my good eye for work, reading and browsing. WATCH TV. There are two main issues with this eye patch: 1) The strap that holds it is fully adjustable and very comfortable, HOWEVER the *EDGES* of the strap (top and bottom, if that makes sense) are *not* rounded at all, it is just a thin edge of paper. Over time, it began to dig into my ear uncomfortably, as can happen with cheap glasses. 2) I had a hard time positioning the patch so that *ZERO* light came in. possible but finicky and usually shifts over time. I didn't know as I've never worn an eyepatch before, but do you really want the eyepatch to be completely blacked out to avoid visual noise or oddities? Overall, I'm glad I bought it, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. I would probably look for something more comfortable and ergonomic.
