I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of "box beds” as they are almost never what they claim they are(in my experience). So far, this one has checked most if not all my boxes. I’ll start off with the negatives first (although they are minor imo) The bed didn’t fully expand to the full 12”. It only rose to 11” which isn’t far off and didn’t bother me all that much, but i know it might bother others.The second thing is that there were small "humps” in the cover once the bed expanded all it was going to expand. It almost looks like the cover separated from the layer beneath it, but I’m not sure. Again, this is a minor thing for me as they humps pretty much go away once you have a cover or mattress protector on it, but i know this may bother some.As for the good, the mattress is really comfortable and offers a good amount of support, which is important to me as a heavier set guy, as too soft of a mattress and not enough support hurts my back. it has helped to alleviate some of that back pain. the mattress does feel a little softer than a traditional medium-firm memory foam mattress, but I’m thinking that’s because I’m still used to a foam mattress and not a hybrid. I think this bed will feel firmer the more i sleep and get used to it. The quality of my sleep has improved drastically, I’m no longer waking up in the middle of the night or tossing and turning trying to get to sleep. This bed sleeps cool and comfortable I’ve heard people say that using the steam from an iron may help to expand the foam more, may try that later but we’ll see. So far, I’m pretty happy with this bed and I’m thinking it was a good buy. I may update this review later on if my opinion changes for better or worse.
