Motion detection works when it's first triggered and detected by Home Assistant, but doesn't respond/update its status afterwards. Also, the device side loses its WiFi connection, which requires a reboot to restore functionality. Hopefully these issues will be fixed in a future firmware update. Update: Thanks to a recent firmware update, it now works properly with Home Assistant. I thought the issues with this product were fixed but unfortunately today despite good battery / no modifications etc it was not available on my network. As I cannot rely on it to perform the functions it was designed/purchased to do, I am downgrading my rating and cannot recommend it for purchase.
