Manfrotto tops the weight
I had a Vanguard ball head that worked well when using small lenses; but everything heavy didn't last. Manfrotto doesn't look much taller; but the tank will survive. I put my 150mm to 600mm Sigma on it and it works great. After you win, you get what you pay for. Why buy twice when once is enough when you strive for the best. If that's good enough for Thomas Heaton, it's good enough for me. See it being used on my Avid Amateur YouTube channel.
