Love it very much got a good deal just wish UPS had broken one of the

- probably the heaviest thing I've ever gotten from an online order - obviously UPS didn't like how heavy it was because they must have dropped the package somewhere at some point so the impact caused a Lots of packing and upholstery material pierced through and ripped a whole piece out of one of the large wooden surfaces. parts. Suffice to say I didn't really figure it out until I had done all the work of laying out all the parts for assembly and pulling out a massive amount of packing material so I had space to work in our small space. Needless to say I was very upset about this. The assembly was very easy. nice to have really clear and simple instructions for the item. Not sure how much easier it could have been as the bolt count was minimal - most of the installation involved installing cam locks and nuts. super-super-easy, and the one-handed assembly of heavy one-piece parts was extra easy and not at all nerve wracking, which was AWESOME. - I won't lie when it comes time to put the lid and spring arm on the hinge. I found it hard to believe that the fragile little hinge just wouldn't fall apart or that the lever for crap wouldn't work. not so. It was quite inconvenient to screw the hinge into the lid as you ALSO need to keep the piece of wood in line with the hinge when screwing it in. It would be better if someone held it for you while you screwed it in, or vice versa I think, but I did it myself and even without the lever, the hinge was surprisingly strong. For some reason after installing the lever I was amazed that it worked so well. do not judge strictly, there are many types of functional elements for which my success in assembling remains a new and pleasant surprise. - Luckily the big notch caused by the UPS ended up on the inside of the panel and you literally can't see it at all unless you stick your hand in a dark cupboard and try to blindly shut it with your fingers Find . - The sliding doors worked great, they are easy to assemble and lucky for us when the doors open outwards the doors just won't go due to the tight in and walk through space outside the console. My only issue might be that since both doors have distinctly protruding handles (although I like the gold finish on the hardware as it actually unifies the look of this piece with our other furniture), you can't completely overlay a door. It's all possible - turns out the shelf for the player (under the hinged lid) is just the right size for the roommate's Audio Technica LP60. I can understand other people's complaints about the location of the cable access holes and the cramped space that doesn't allow cables to be routed around the turntable. I can't talk about these difficulties now because the roommate somehow has this player but no speakers. So obviously I haven't connected anything yet. - all 50 or 60 records fit in easily and there is still space. I love adjustable shelves. lots of extra storage space for cables, speakers, CDs, etc. Personally, I like having half the top of the console for decoration and the other half for active player access. it is so comfortable and looks very stylish. Overall I am very happy with this piece of furniture. I mean I think it's a bit overpriced but once I got my hands on the parts I have to admit I was quite impressed with the quality of the materials. However, it took me months (and a huge discount) to take the plunge, but there are very few affordable furniture options on the market with shelf sizes that, for some godforsaken reason, fit 12-inch vinyl records. In fact, I came close to just buying an awful cubic home and garden shelf, nailing a few legs to it and putting an end to it, if not for the discount on this matte black version of the Crosley console but the home shelf and garden is over. For the foreseeable future, this certainly looks a lot better and takes a lot less effort and time than figuring out a homemade combination of random details.
