Damn, why doesn't superglue work as well as it used to? I remember those commercials as a kid where a builder "glued" his hard neck to an I-beam and hung freely from a height without detaching. NO, I would not trust a seemingly new formula, it contains NOTHING that I have tried to glue together. I bought to glue the ceramic piece where the chip broke off. No matter how much glue I used and no matter how much I left to dry, it did NOT stick. Then I'll try Gorilla Glue, superglue I've given up, all that seems good at the moment is to "seal" cuts where bandages are difficult to hold (e.g. fingertips).
