I just got this and I already love it. Ball ice is great for cocktails, not only because it's aesthetically pleasing, but also because it melts much more slowly. The funnel makes it easier to fill the bowl and the ice cream balls can be easily removed from the mold. The only thing I would warn you about is that if you're not careful and overfill the bowl, the ice cream will freeze into a black silicone mold and you'll end up with funny frozen balls of ice cream with "nipples" on them. Scoops of ice cream are easy to make and I keep them in a dish container in the freezer so I can have a bunch of them when I need them.
