Not very similar to the picture
I usually wear large shirts, size 42. I wanted a slightly slimmer fit and not a tank top, the medium size fits well. The material is a smoother polyester with a slight sheen. In the picture there seems to be some white thin threads, but in life it's just a solid color. The picture looks like linen. Looks like cheap shiny polyester in real life.
