After reading the reviews I wasn't sure about this purchase - love it or quite hate it. But that's about what I've found for every 6 inch fan listed that comes close to this price point, so I went with this one to bet on and it works really well for my purpose. I use it in a 5x8 grow tent to move the air. a little. I currently have two, but ideally a third or even a fourth would be better and I run my fans at low speed. Too much air movement is not a plus. The goal is to simulate wind, not blow huge amounts of air. And it doesn't have to be 24/7. I have a timer to run a few cycles an hour and not at all when the lights go out at night. If you need to move a lot of air, it's best to do it with a good quality exhaust fan rather than blowing directly on the plants. Not good. However, this is a very decent, well-made fan. Easy to assemble, clip works. I now have a wood frame cabinet that I designed myself so it mounts easily to 2x4 and 1x4 lumber. If you are a farmer who decides to buy an overpriced cane tent, chances are it won't stay in place and won't move or slip after a while. But if you have the means to ensure security and just want to move some air like I suggested, you won't be disappointed. Definitely recommend for the way I described it and will be buying more. In my opinion it works just as well as a personal fan for use on your desk at work or in your home office. It's very quiet and moves a lot of air to cool itself down a bit. And no, this is not a fake review, as one dissatisfied customer suggested. It sounds like they just have a bad fan or the quality of the fans is lame - that's what happens with things made "elsewhere". I don't know exactly but the one I have works great and I recommend it to other buyers without a problem. If it doesn't move air, send it back.easy peasy.AE
