I'm a photographer and I've been looking for external hard drives for my computer for a long time. In the end I decided on Silicon Power HD and I am very satisfied. It backs up my entire hard drive on its own every day (the way I set it up) and I have peace of mind knowing my photos and programs are safe. Don't worry about backing up data to CD-Rs or flash drives. I'm so glad I bought this! Updated 03/20/18. So, after four years of use, the device starts to have problems. It stopped backing up files last summer and I was never able to get it to work properly when I upgraded to a Windows 10 PC. I think 4 years is a good amount of time for an external hard drive, which is why I'm still giving it 4 stars. Also, SP has great customer service, which is a bonus. I will probably buy another device from SP.
