Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Prestaflator Mini: Bicycle Tire Inflator and Presta Air Compressor Tool by Sangmin Barrett

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not worth the money. Works like.

It just seems to work. It consists of a cheap air gun that pulls a lot of air through the valve and ports. I was able to improve this by taking it apart and applying teflon tape to the pivots and valve, but that was only a minor improvement. The rubber sleeve in the lining quickly wore out after 3 uses. A tiny replacement bushing costs $6. Bought for tubeless. It works, but the air leak is so loud it's hard to hear when the beads engage, and the loss of airflow can mean it's underperforming for some tire and wheel combos. I use soapy water to grease the beads. I ended up building my own inflator using a Lezine ABS-1 Pro HV pump head, a $5 air gun, and a small piece of tubing from my floor pump. Works 10 times better. This Prestaflator is pretty much junk and doesn't even come close to $30. The best is the RIAC-2 fleet. I worked as a bike mechanic for a year and used it 20-50 times a day. Expensive but works great and lasts a long time. If you really want to do it right, build your own or pay $135 for the Park Tool INF-2 and don't worry about anything else.
