Review on Goplus Heavy Duty Steel Motorcycle Carrier With Loading Ramp - 600 LBS Capacity, Hitch Mount Dirt Bike Rack For Car, RV, Truck - Black by Trendsetters Hare

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Honest Opinion - my new review

Purchased knowing the 600lb rating was over rated, however, I've seen way too many bikes 'slumping' because of thin gauge steel or bent receiver hitches going down I70 in Colorado. As most of the reviews state, it is heavy. Of course it is. It has a 600 pound rating. The tie down bars hold up nicely without warping when placed under a good amount of pressure (I used turn buckles on the back wheel). The fact there is a wheel chock which is well built and reinforced is also a nice feature to consider. Ramp is long so your not pushing out a hernia trying to load. Steel on the ramp is also stout and doesn't give an inch when loading my KTM.Cons: The stabilizer is a bit of a joke. Does it do a okay job, yes. However, I've tried a number of these devices and there is still teeter totter play and left to right play. Drives me nuts to feel the load shift when turning sharp corner or see the bike swaying around from time to time. Buy hey, this simply could be my warped sense of anxiety.I opted to use turn buckles to hold down the rear tire (way too many tie down straps have come loose on back country roads) and also the left to right play. The teeter totter I keep to a minimum by using an extra pair of straps from the bike to the bumper.I've taken the unit out a couple of times sense I've purchased to test. Freeway and back roads. Come off without a hitch (pun there)
