My wife bought a Razor "JDBug" scooter from a thrift store. I replaced the plastic spoked wheels with the old bearings with these wheels and now I can keep up with my son on his fancy "stunt" scooter, at least on level ground. (I don't swim in pools as I'm too old and fat haha) The only caveat is that the JDBug scooter has a spring-loaded "bounce" mechanism on the front wheel with an off-center pivot. The pivot rod rubs against the front wheel, at least until I load the scooter and the wheel rotates slightly away from the pivot point when the springs are compressed. bug or feature? (Right now it acts as a parking brake if I dismount and put it into a corner) I've only ridden it for about an hour, maybe a couple of times in the last week or so. If it falls apart I might have to change my guess, but for now it does what it's supposed to, with low-drag carbide spokes (the magnetic wheel part between the bearings and the rubber tire), for less than some other brands.
