We have a 12 month old Western Highland puppy who is notorious for getting into trouble. We recently moved into a house where the agreement prohibits the use of fences, which for a pup who loves to run is very problematic and almost impossible to catch. After several instances of his escape, we didn't know what to do. I bought this device out of desperation and we are very satisfied. We collar him when it's time to go out and he is very aware and happy of the freedom he has within the perimeter. We hope that over time we can remove the collar and it just stays in the area. Overall we just love this device and it did everything we hoped it would. No digging or hidden lines, no real installation, just plug in and use the wheel to resize your circle. I will warn you to be considerate of your pet while the device is on. Yesterday I took our pup to the garage and yard and when my wife got home he happily jumped in her car to say hello to our girls. Despite being within the clear zone, the metal and mass of the car jammed the device, and he received a slight jolt that prompted him to run back into the house. This device works with dogs of all sizes and if you are patient when setting up the perimeter, you and your pet will find new freedom and peace in allowing your pet to roam freely outside.
