Review on 🎢 GMOEGEFT Singing Dancing Christmas Gnome Plush: Nordic Tomte Santa Claus with Music - Perfect Holiday Decorations! by Will Carey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Okay for a novelty product, not much more than that

I am a huge fan of gnomes/tomtes and bought this product to add some fun holiday flair to my collection.Pros: Has a soft outer shell (about1/4 inch thick/no padding outside of the arms) which may make it more appealing to children which seems to be the audience. It's very clearly a tomte not Santa singing jingle bells and references "let's sing a song to get you into the holiday spirit" so may be a viable option for those that want a winter novelty product and don't celebrate Christmas. It plays clearly and walks without falling.Cons:It's very much a novelty product and is not very displayable. The feet/shoes are a weird hard plastic and had what appeared to be hot glue ribbons coming from where the felt on the bottom of the feet was attached to the shoes. The beard/outfit also sheds a bit and the legs are really skinny at plastic at the top so that it can move adequately. This thing is loud and moves erratically in about a 1 sq ft area of space so it needs to be on a larger table to be safe. It was able to push a light item (small candle tin w/ no candle) on my table a couple inches but due to the way it moves it turns before going too far in any one direction. It has gone off whenever I've moved/accidentally bumped it. There is thankfully an on/off switch but I can see it being really annoying if you are a parent whose small kids are playing with it.It may not be appropriate for small children who might be the most appropriate audience for this product as it has a bell on the end of it's hat about the size of a grape (fairly well secured but if your kid and or/pet likes to put things in their mouth it might not be the best call). Also batteries are not secured with a screw so it could fairly easily open/if your kid puts things in their mouth it uses 3 AA batteries).Overall: I would not purchase this again and would prefer a higher quality item but it is less cheesy looking than some of the singing/dancing products I have found and probably has an audience in people that really enjoy singing/dancing things.

Pros
  • The gnome's design is equally adorable and festive, making it an aesthetically pleasing addition to any home's Christmas decorations. Its colorful attire and cheerful expression will bring a touch of fun and charm to your holiday decor
Cons
  • The glowing lights can be distracting or irritating for some
