Read the reviews and didn't know how my husky would do when he destroyed his wire box which had zips and carabiners on all sides. He pulled on the bars, made him rip his nose open and go insane every time I left him. Two months later this kennel is still great and such a solid purchase! It took about 30 minutes (two people is better than one) to put it together and it never came out. In fact, he tried to bite through the sides next to the door, but he couldn't even put a dent in it and gave up! He also doesn't whine or freak out as much as he does in a wire cage. I will say that the floor can positively prevent the dog from getting enough grip to pull since there is about an inch of space between each bar. However, this may mean that this kennel may not be suitable for a small or even medium sized dog with small paws. But unless your dog ruins blankets or stuffing, I would put them there. Overall I am very happy to have received this updated kennel. Much better than our wire cage and I have peace of mind knowing he won't escape.
