This is probably the best pfsense build in terms of what you get for your money. I replaced my AMD pfsense quad cores with it and got the same performance with a lot less power and effort. An assembly is not required. Pfsense is pre-installed. Dual Core i5 keeps up with Gigabit WAN <-> LAN, Snort, OpenVPN. Two additional Intel ports for whatever (CARP with a second and dual WAN). Warm but quiet when running. energy efficient. There are no fans. This i5 supports AES-NI, which will be required for Pfsense community build version 2.5 and higher, so it's time to start thinking about replacing your hardware with it - it's getting closer despite all the complaints.
