Review on Winter K-Guard Bicycle Tire by SCHWALBE by Jason Robinson

I've only ridden the front tires once so far and have now ridden both tires again in freezing weather here in Boulder, Colorado. I love these tires and for the price they definitely made me a happy customer. I ride to school every day or before COVID-19, regardless of the weather, and after a few days of snow melting and refreezing, the bike path was patchy on my 32C tires. I didn't fall but I had some big problems during the 5km commute to work so I bought the front one. After a noticeable pull with that too, I decided to bite the bullet and put on the rear one. I bought a new lightweight wheelset from a guy in town, put them on the old stock tires since they have less rolling resistance, and then put the studded tires on the factory wheels. One thing that made me nervous was the wider 35C tire mount. in the fenders like my 32C, but the studded tires have a shorter sidewall and actually have more fender clearance than factory 32C tires. I was a bit surprised to see that the middle two rows had cleats and the outer row on either side had none, but with lower tire pressure and deceleration before corners, I don't know if I would have noticed the difference with the inner ones and these less weight how it is. I'm really excited to learn more about this setup and I'll bet no one will catch me if I get through a future curfew on icy roads thanks to Schwalbe! Haha, I'm joking, kinda.
