Android devices on pure android only visually win in speed - the animation is corny faster (you can also change it in developer mode). Yes, conditional VanPlas with a Pixel over a period of 2 years will not lose in usability, I admit, but then the iPhone will win (my mother has a 4-year-old 6c Plus - it works with a bang, compared with Pixel 2 XL).
