Review on MINI JAMBOX By Jawbone Wireless Bluetooth Speaker - Blue Diamond - Retail Packaging (Discontinued By Manufacturer) by Chad Guinn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Extremely impressive for such a small package

huge) stereo. When I saw the Mini Jambox for sale I grabbed it and was glad I did. The Mini Jambox doesn't have the same volume or bass as the regular jambox, but it comes close. I have the same clarity and uncanny ability to create stereo separation in such a small setup. The UE Boom has much better volume and bass and even cleaner sound, but it's more than twice the size and costs more than double what I paid for the Mini Jambox, so I don't mind. I may get one of these later, but for now it suits my needs perfectly. What impresses the most is the volume of the sound, especially after updating the firmware and turning on LiveAudio. I have a few binaural tracks (not ones that claim to alter brainwaves, but ones that mimic 3D sound when listened to with headphones or good stereo speakers) and with LiveAudio enabled I can swear there are multiple speakers in the audio system. room with me. Closing my eyes on a track I could tell that the drummer was in front and slightly to my left, the lead guitar to my left and the rhythm guitar to my right, but not that far away. You don't feel as far away as with headphones, but the effect is still downright bizarre. So there are better options out there (I know the UE Boom is phenomenal), but for the price and size, I'm thrilled with the Mini Jambox.
