Fast/Prime shipping. Ordered on a Sunday evening and selected a Tuesday afternoon delivery. First-delivery was punctual and the awning was delivered undamaged. Well packaged, in an undamaged cardboard box, wrapped in plastic. Next-yes, a 14mm (millimeter) masonry bit is required. So, 14mm converts to 9/16-inch (actually 14.2mm). The included hardware is 6 (six) lag bolts with the plastic anchor for concrete/mortar installs and 6 (six) sleeve anchors. I opted to install above my patio doors and two sconce lights. I went high and installed with the two plastic anchor bolts into the mortar (not recommended, but we'll see how it holds.) I also used a lag bolt to secure the top of the mounting bracket into the soffit under the roof overhang (a little added strength.) Three brackets for the 15-foot wide awning. I feel it is secure. Upon extending the awning, it did require adjustment. It is supposed to be adjusted for the best angle (amount of drop between the level it is mounted at and the level it is when extended.) Ours extended almost flat, we adjusted until the front is about 18-inches lower than the level it is mounted at. The instructions say about a .6 meter (24-inches). Bottom line is that for the price point, I would recommend this awning. It's almost 10-foot extended, that's a lot of hand cranking, but those powered awnings are so much more.
