Bought a 2007 Expedition and it showed obvious signs of failure on this part. I'm not a mechanic but I found the car out on YouTube, bought a spare and installed it myself. I saved myself a few hundred dollars just by making it myself. It only required 8mm ratchets to loosen the two screws holding the part in place and then swap it out and pull everything back out. It's been over 4 weeks since I installed it and everything works great.
