Unfortunately, despite my love for the Air Doctor, changing filters is expensive. They just don't last. The claim that a carbon filter lasts six months and a Hepa filter lasts a year is simply not true. I just installed a new charcoal filter and a new Hepa filter a few months ago that are past their useful life. My house is kept very clean and I have several other cleaners including Austin Air and Molekule (I'm allergic to dust, pet dander and mold so filters should work around the house) so there's really no reason to clean the filters. so fast I don't have to change other filters as often. I also ordered a kit with two charcoal filters and a HEPA filter, but received only one charcoal filter in the kit.
