While I had high hopes for them they are 50/50 durable. If you are very careful they work great. If you use normal force, or even a little harder, they will fall apart and be seemingly impossible to put back together. We took her on a two week trip. My friend's cake fell apart in the first 5 days of the trip. Mine lasted the whole trip but I had to be very careful. I threw mine away before I got home knowing they wouldn't last long. Kids and container are not easy to put together once separated (the rubber container separates easily from the plastic part that screws into the lid).
