Review on Ceramic Chilli KooK by Crocks Handles by Jason Ballard

Good value, nestable, holds more than I expected

I bought these because I love making fajita bowls and sauces but we limit the carbs. As a result, we currently do not use flour tortillas or chips. We eat stuffing alone or in combination with celery and other vegetables instead of high-carb chips. I really enjoy using them, everyone in the house seems to want their fajita bowls to be a little different. Since I'm somewhat, but not rigidly, dietary, I often prepare the protein ahead of time. My ingredients are pre-cooked. Any family member can easily add cheese, peppers, chicken and so on. Once everyone has loaded their fajita bowls, I put them in the oven at around 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes. This is enough to melt the cheese and heat the chicken. Then top and fill with sour cream, guacamole, or our favorite salsa. It's also a great option for soups and chili. They are easy to clean, I hand wash the dishes and it doesn't take me much effort to put them in order. It will be a good gift for a wedding, housewarming or even a birthday. They are well packaged and all mine arrived undamaged. The box is easy to wrap with paper and a bow. I also like that they stack together. They don't take up much cupboard space but actually hold more food than I was expecting. My son even uses one of these for his cereal bowl in the morning. Tip: since they are ceramic, in cool rooms, place them on a baking tray after the oven has preheated. This way the shards heat up slowly and you avoid the possibility of thermal shock leading to breakage.
