Review on ๐Ÿถ Large Medium Dog Training Collar - Remote Control Shock Collar for Dogs with Beep, Vibration, Static Modes, Keypad Lock, Adjustable Shock Levels 0-99, Extended Remote Range by Margaret Thornhill

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The horn is very quiet now - was better than when I bought it a few years ago

I bought this shock collar for my Doberman a few years ago so he can stop her from getting off to run away from their house or car and to study. The one I bought back then was PERFECT. I never have to shock her (which I prefer) because the beep is enough to distract her and she just listens with the beep. I also LOVE the fact that you can connect multiple collars to one remote. And it was very easy to do without getting the instructions again. This time I bought it again when I got my chocolate labrador. Unfortunately it is NOT the same as the first one I bought although the model/collar is marked the same <UGH> New DOES NOT make any loud beeps at ALL or do anything to distract the dog as I would prefer. This one also differs in that it now has an on/off switch (the original didn't have one) - this is a pretty cool addition and helps save battery, BUT I'd like a louder beep. My rating for the original collar would have been 5 stars - but to be honest, this one sits unused in the closet because I alternate it with another collar. Very disappointed that they changed it to a quieter beep. As I don't use it I would give it 0 stars as I think it was a waste of money for me but I gave it a 3 because the shock works (although not tested on my dogs), the vibration works, it allows repeating collars to be connected with a remote control and an on/off function would be nice.
