Review on ๐Ÿท๏ธ Black Adjustable Curtain Rod Set with Brackets - 1" Diameter Metal Splicing Rods for Windows (30-60") by Evan Sharma

Revainrating 2 out of 5

For the person who says this rod holds 25lbs.

First, although this bar is adjustable, it can only be adjusted in 12 or 14 inch increments. Second, I used a full 90" stem and set the shackles 4" from the end as recommended. I then hung 4.54" blackout panels from a rod (these are heavy curtains). The rod sagged in the middle. Additionally, the slight tension required to open and close the curtains aggravated the sagging problem. I ended up buying extra brackets to support the center. The extra bracket fixed the problem but the extra cost negated the value of the pole.Curtains (open weave to keep the view out the window clear.) These curtains were much lighter and didn't pose any problems for the pole. There was no center bracket fitted to this pole. Finally, the manufacturer gives you a roll of gel tape for street mounting. The tape allows your curtain to go through the connection points that are present every 12" or so. Without tape, curtains will hang from these connection points. I think it's a compromise if you don't have a solid one 90 inch rod can ship.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
