Great alternative to the original case!
I bought this to go with my all weather case for my Hero 3. It is great as a DVR because of its size and light weight. It is much more compact and easier to use. All buttons/ports are open. It holds the camera firmly so I experienced almost no vibration when taking photos. If you have an application that doesn't require you to weatherproof your camera, this would be a good choice. The extra lens cap is great too, but now I have to remember to take it off! (but it's up to me)
