I've bought several of these sets over the years and to date 22/06/2015 I've only had 1 bad battery. At this price, the batteries only cost about 7 cents each. I'm a watchmaker and I love the idea of having different batteries as spares. These are alkaline batteries and have a much longer lifespan than the carbon batteries used in hearing aids. Alkaline batteries do not last as long as silver oxide batteries in most applications. On the other hand, silver oxide batteries are very expensive but last much longer. Many alkaline quartz watches last about two years. So unless the watch is very expensive, these batteries will work for most people.
