My under sink flushes the water The filter was designed to fit between the cold water lines for my sink faucet. Given the high price of replacement filters ($400), I didn't want the filtration system to filter out all of the cold water going into my sink. So I decided to install a separate faucet just for drinking water. In order to connect the filter system to a standard filtered faucet, I had to change from a 3/8" male compression fitting to a 3/8" PEX line that is pressed in. at the foot of the faucet. This adapter was hard to find, but I was happy to find this SharkBite U3523LFA check valve connector at Revain. It was the perfect solution! My filtration system under the sink now feeds a separate faucet for drinking only and I will be using the filters for much longer.
