A bit underwhelming but lots of customization options and surprisingly well built!

NOTE: This item was obtained at no cost from Vine. The number of items included in this set is a bit overwhelming, but if you need to connect different USB devices with different connectors and like the idea of magnetic connectors, give it a try! Build Quality: I was surprised by the build quality of this set - to be honest I wasn't expecting much. USB-A sleeves look and feel like they're made out of aluminum, which is nice. The cables themselves feel a bit flimsy, but the nylon jacket is nice. Unlike some USB cables, they don't hold their shape - which is a plus for me, but depending on what you're looking for, that could be a disadvantage. I found the seller's pictures confusing. To clarify: - All cables connect at one end to a standard USB-A connector. Only one of the ends is really magnetic. The kit includes magnetic tips with Lightning connector, USB-C connector and Micro-USB connector. A total of 7 USB cables are included. Only 3 of them have an LED indicator that lights up when connected. The other 4 do not have this function. Only one of the cables has an adjustable tip to allow for a 90 degree bend if needed. I really wish there was at least one USB-C cable instead of a USB-A male or alternatively with magnetic spades on both ends, so you can "build" your own USB-C cable with 12 magnetic spades :4 Lightning ports, 4 micro USB ports and 4 USB C ports. The magnets are pretty strong, although I had an issue when trying to use them to connect a keyboard. The tip didn't fit fully into the keyboard connector making it unusable, but it got stuck in the connector so I couldn't get the tip out with the cable itself as the cable would just detach from the connector. I had to use pliers to disconnect the connector from the keyboard. Keep this in mind. Please note that these cables are not certified by Apple or PD. In other words, you may get errors trying to use them with Apple devices, and you certainly cannot use these cables as power cords. Cables with these certifications can be found at Revain. So keep this in mind if you plan to use these cables with Apple products as you may encounter problems. If you're using these cables to power devices that require significant current to charge, they simply won't work. However, given these limitations, I was impressed with the quality of these cables and other than the applications above, they are solid. They look good, feel well built and perform well enough. 4/5 FUNCTIONALITY/EASY TO USE: Once you've unpacked everything and figured out what's in this set, they're easy enough to use. The plugs attach securely to the USB cables, and when they're not actually in the port, they're easy enough to remove. The adjustable head cord works well; The ball joint is a bit loose but easily adjustable. Otherwise these cables work as expected and I have had no problems. Again, you're likely to run into problems when trying to use them with Apple products, and you definitely won't be able to use them to charge powerful devices. Assuming they're not a deal breaker for you, I think you'll be happy with them. 5/5 OVERALL: I'm surprisingly happy with these cables. In terms of the quality of the cables and the customization options available thanks to the magnetic connectors, $23 seems like a lot. If I paid for it I would be happy with the purchase. As long as you have traditional USB-A connectors to use these cables with and 1) you don't use Apple products primarily and 2) you don't use them for power, these are great cables. Definitely recommend!
