This pair of rear tailgate supports were installed on a 2012 Ford Escape to replace the old supports that were not holding the tailgate. Installation is very simple and only takes about 5 minutes per side to remove the old posts and replace with new ones. Highly recommended not only for comfort reasons but also for safety reasons. When the back door comes down and hits you in the head, it's no fun. and it's even worse if it happens to your wife when she's loading groceries. Believe me, you will hear about it!
