The truth is I converted a 1990 Cherokee closed system to a newer 1991-1999 open system so there are a few steps to get it working and will not be overloaded and worth the effort. You have to cut off the upper radiator bracket a bit to remove the radiator cap, no big deal. Complaints are caused by the quality of the attachment points of the upper supports / rubber bands and the electric fans themselves. The top brackets have very small and cheap screws and they are misplaced and uneven so I had to swap brackets to get everything right. I can live and work with it, but the WORST thing is that after all the work on my first off-road ride, when I was crawling out of uneven ground, the passenger fan broke its mounts and got stuck in front of the harmonic balancer. I was lucky he didn't just rip the belt and leave me in the woods. Since this used all the power from both fans, I had to work slowly, stop, let cool, rinse and repeat until I got home. I expect these mounts to work great on the road, but I'll have to think of something better off road. I'll try to update my review once I fit a new fan (the original wasn't reusable and I haven't heard from the seller about an exchange). I don't think this heatsink will have horsepower compared to a stock unit as it isn't physically larger and the only difference as far as I can tell would be mechanical/electric fans versus electric/electric fans.
