So I waited a bit after buying and using. But it's been a long time, and the ambient temperature has changed so much, that I'm pretty sure I understand everything I can about the subject. By the way, I see this element in a lot of YouTube home theater or audiophile videos, so I know it's popular and works well for some. My biggest problem is that it NEVER turns off. No matter what setting I used and maybe I missed something but I don't know how but it just never stops. Presumably it increases the fan speed depending on the heat it regulates and the temperature you want to maintain. Just right.? The manual says the fan will turn on when the temperature is within 4 degrees of your preferred temperature setting, and depending on how close our setting is higher, the fan will blow to dissipate the heat. Easy again. EXCEPT. Mine is set to 90° and it hasn't stopped since I plugged it in, regardless of the setting. Actually it's showing 82/81 right now and every time it hits 82 the fan turns on. So there is a 4 degree buffer window that this needs to communicate in order for it to turn on or off. That means something between 86-90 or higher depending on my suits. So tell me why is 82 turning it off now? Heck, one night to save electricity, I just used a couple of fans around the house at night and slept on a sheet. Woke up at 2am and the unit was running with the AVR off! The ambient temperature in the 80+ room made it work, although it shouldn't turn on until it was 86°. This is a "SMART” setting, by the way. Also, there's no trigger, no manual shutoff, and no proper display. Dimmer. It's as quiet as any fan you'll find anywhere. It's not unusually noisy, however, except on the hottest days.
