So the name got your attention, didn't it? Well it's 100% true. My sweet mom who is battling breast cancer has a "chemical mouth" along with a "chemical brain." Unfortunately, these are two very real things. When my mom started chemotherapy, I ordered these toothbrushes for her. When they arrived she didn't even know what they were or why I sent them. The nurses didn't even raise the subject of chemotherapy. I was very angry at how I was going to prepare her for the side effects, which for some reason no one really talks about. Thank goodness I did my homework and knew that after 3 treatments her mouth would be so sensitive, so red and so swollen it would be impossible to use a regular toothbrush! That's exactly what happened. A few days ago my mom called me and said these toothbrushes are just a godsend. Not only are they super soft, she says, but they keep her teeth just as clean, if not cleaner, than her regular brush or manual electric toothbrush! I was so happy that I helped. If it's just a little thing, that's all I can do for her, I'll do it! My goal was to make her everyday life as normal as possible. Without these brushes, she would have had to laboriously brush her teeth every day. I am so thankful for the article I came across! PS I also bought her some chemo cream for her head. B.C. Not only did she lose ALL her hair (and all in one day!). but did you know it hurts!? Had no idea. Well it hurts and itches but the lotion I bought helps a lot. Another thing she wasn't ready for. Thank goodness for Revane!
