At the point where the cable connects to the computer, the cable jacket has separated from the head that connects to the computer, exposing the wires. The charger still works (heavily taped over), but it's pretty clear that the lifespan of this device is short. As it was 40 days old I couldn't return it but it shouldn't have broken in that time. So it's only a matter of time before I have to buy a new one.
