My late wife gave me one of these years ago when it was an industrial tool and cost three times as much. It still works and I've used it every day. This is currently my favorite gift for special occasions. Although the laser became unpredictably intermittent in my case, it hasn't compromised its accuracy and works on pancake pans, microwave water mugs, bread dough, walls, floors, air ducts, almost any surface at temperatures up to 500F and the new ones seem up to 750ºF to go. No kitchen can be without one.
