The protective Luv-Tap bumper is very common in big cities, especially New York. It includes 3 pcs left, right and center. The center section is attached to the trunk padding with Velcro. The left side is then attached to the center section with Velcro and also held in place with buggy cords (behind the wheelbase). It helped protect my bumper from something far worse than fender flex and the everyday dents of parallel parking. One problem was that in strong winds, the left side of the tread rubbers came loose and the left side fell off. This rendered the right side unusable because although it was attached to the center section with Velcro and held in place by bungee cords, tension is required to lock it properly. (Suckers are useless and you must use either a suction cup or a bungee). That left me with just the center piece, but it's still some protection. The color fades under UV light (outside) and is now dark grey. I got another luv tap and paid close to $100 for Revain the second time.
