Having waited about a month to write this I can't say enough about the company or these cameras. I originally bought them as an upgrade for RLC-410 units that I had in working condition. After buying 2 I found that my dashcam (formerly RLN8-410) didn't recognize the 5MP resolution setting. I contacted Reolink and received several emails from "Jeremy". He replied within a few hours and walked me through the firmware update which was difficult due to the current firmware version. (I've flashed devices many times so I didn't expect any problems.) Jeremy helped me update the NVR after I thought it was "locked". I have now replaced four of my old 4MP 410s with 511s, the image quality is significantly better and the field of view (zoomed out) is wider. These new 5 megapixel RLC-511 cameras have much better color reproduction in low light conditions - a huge upgrade. So much so that I can set up the cameras to stay in daylight mode and still capture high-quality images with only streetlights available. Cars and people are very clear, the colors are correct. I can read CA license plates from cars parked 50 feet down the street from me. The optical zoom function allows you to adjust the field of view to your liking. Why waste your camera on trees or buildings on the left or right of the frame when you can zoom in and focus on important areas? I can't help but mention the sound capabilities. They're not as sensitive as the 410 units I've had before, but they do their job well. Customer service. These people are on the job! Quick and accurate answers that get the system up and running the first time? What more can I ask for?
